The job portal is designed to provide free-of-charge service to the NET / SET and Ph.D. qualified candidates as well as to the universities, colleges and other employers with an aim to help the candidates to get suitable jobs and to the universities and colleges to get qualified candidates. Hiring and monitory compensation for work performed by the candidates is handled directly between the candidate and the employer. The UGC does not perform background checks on candidates applying for the jobs, nor on employers posting job opportunities through this portal. Employers and candidates are encouraged to request authentication and reference information from each other as required to establish qualifications and credentials claimed by the candidates and to establish overall fit between the employer and the applicant.
